Are you in the process of looking for the right primary school for your reception-aged child?

We are open for tours, please contact the office. For further information, see our admissions page.

Our After School Club runs everyday from 3.15pm until 6pm.

The club is supervised by members of staff from our school. The children receive healthy snacks and drinks and are involved in a range of exciting activities.

Pupils throughout the school have consistently good attitudes to learning and they work hard. They respect their teachers highly and say that learning is exciting.

Staff have responded positively to the much higher expectations and were quick to tell the inspector about their pride in working at Cogenhoe and about the successes they are achieving together.

Pupils wear their uniform with pride and are very supportive of each other.

Book your child's place for Forest School Easter Camp on 28th March via School Money!

Year One

Wow… what a week. We performed our nativity to a live audience and were amazing! This week we are consolidating our maths knowledge, revisiting addition and subtraction. We have boxed up our text of the 3 billy goats gruff, correctly sequencing the story. In our science lesson we talked about how animals adapt in the winter, we even spoke about how some animals migrate and some hibernate during this season. We were lucky enough to be part of the fantastic rock steady concert, watching how confident some of our peers were who were performing. Finally, we are all getting very excited with Christmas practically round the corner.

In our continuous provision this week we have described a season, made our own rockets and continued repeating patterns. Additionally, we have been using the peg boards to make 2D shapes, using the masks to act out the 3 Billy Goats Gruff story and played a compound noun matching game. Finally, We have had the opportunity to use the tuft tray to act out the Christmas Story, looking at the birth of baby Jesus.

We will not have any spellings next week, so we get a week off.
