Are you in the process of looking for the right primary school for your reception-aged child?

We are open for tours, please contact the office. For further information, see our admissions page.

Our After School Club runs everyday from 3.15pm until 6pm.

The club is supervised by members of staff from our school. The children receive healthy snacks and drinks and are involved in a range of exciting activities.

Pupils throughout the school have consistently good attitudes to learning and they work hard. They respect their teachers highly and say that learning is exciting.

Staff have responded positively to the much higher expectations and were quick to tell the inspector about their pride in working at Cogenhoe and about the successes they are achieving together.

Pupils wear their uniform with pride and are very supportive of each other.

Book your child's place for Forest School Easter Camp on 28th March via School Money!

School Meals

Snacks

We encourage parents to provide their child with a healthy snack for playtime (named if possible). All Foundation stage and Key Stage 1 children are provided with a piece of fruit daily, through the Government and NHS scheme.

Lunch arrangements

Our school hot meals are provided by Wollaston School. They are cooked on-site daily using fresh ingredients. Menus change frequently, in order to establish a love and appreciation for food. Hot meals must be booked in advance using our on-line system. Parents are invited annually to share a lunch meal with their child to enjoy and sample our delicious food together.

All of our children have the choice of school meals (currently £2.45 per day), or the option to bring their own packed lunch. This would need to be sent in a suitable lunch box, alongside a drinks bottle/cup. In the interest of promoting a healthy diet, please do not provide your child with sweets, chocolate or fizzy drinks for consumption at any time of the day.

The children have lunch in the school hall and are supervised by our wonderful lunchtime supervisors. During the summer months, the children are able to enjoy their lunch outside, as a picnic.

Free universal infant school meals for Reception to Year 2

In line with the introduction of the government universal infant free school meals initiative, all children from Reception, up to and including Year 2 children, are entitled to a free hot school meal. Meals must be booked in advance. Information is given to all parents.

Additional funding for your child- Pupil Premium

If you or your partner are on a low budget, additional financial help, called Pupil Premium funding may be made available to the School. This may be used to support one to one or small group tuition, or assistance towards school trips and activities. For advice on this and eligibility criteria, please speak to the School Office.
