This week, we began our Talk 4 Writing story, The Magic Porridge Pot. We were lucky enough to join the Reception class for a taste of porridge from a special pot they found in their classroom. It filled up mysteriously and tasted very sweet!
Our pre-reading and writing scheme for preschool is called Rhyme Town, and the children were excited to sing the nursery rhymes that accompany this programme.
In our music lesson, we learned the song “Pat-a-Cake, Pat-a-Cake, Baker’s Man” and practiced the accompanying actions.
This week’s art lesson was divided into two parts. In the first part, we independently painted pictures of our faces. The second part was a guided lesson where an adult helped us discuss our features, including the colour of our hair and eyes.
During our maths lessons, we focused on counting three objects and bringing three different items to the carpet to share with our peers.
The weather has been kind to us this week, and we have enjoyed playing outside in the sunshine on the bikes and cars.
Have a great weekend!
