In music time, we focused on nursery rhymes. I sang the first line, and the children sang it back to me. The children chose the songs “1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Once I Caught a Fish Alive” and “Incy Wincy Spider.”
Our new literacy story for the rest of the term is “Little Red Riding Hood.” The children are excited to dive into this classic tale!
We were lucky enough to have two Forest School sessions this week. We enjoyed leaf printing, which supported the children’s physical development by encouraging them to use fine motor skills. They pressed leaves onto paper, learning to control their hand movements while exploring textures and patterns. Plus, we had lots of fun splashing in the puddles during our outdoor adventures!
In P.E. today, we focused on different jumps, using hoops to help us practice and improve our jumping skills.
During Dough Disco, we worked on manipulating the dough, using our fingers to squeeze and stretch the playdough, which helps strengthen fine motor skills.
Thank-you for reading our weekly update!
Enjoy your weekend!
