In our Topic lessons this week, we looked at Iron Age Hill Forts, particularly Maiden Castle. Amazingly, we learnt that it was the size of 50 football pitches! Miss Clarke, went further back in time to the Stone Age to look at cave paintings. Instead of drawing/imitating the images produced, we drew outlines of things linked to our lives in the playground. We wonder what archaeologists in 3,000 years might make of them!
Our Digits and Digestive sessions prove to be very popular with both the adults and children. The children love showing their newly gained skills linked to subtraction, and getting the adults to join in with them. In our Literacy lessons, we have explored balanced arguments by looking at the model text about uniforms. Should we wear school uniforms? We considered the points for and against.
