Early Years 2024 25

This week the children have been learning the about adjectives. They’ve been describing all sorts of objects, to develop their vocabulary and language skills. From the crunch of an apple to the soft fluffiness of a teddy bear, the children have really enjoyed exploring how to make their words come to life.

In Maths, the children have been recording their mathematical findings and learning how numbers can be made up of different parts, even though the whole number stays the same. This activity was a great way for them to practise their recording skills and helped them understand how numbers are composed.

The children have been learning about how fruit and vegetables grow. During Forest School, the children went for a walk and observed the local allotments. This sparked lots of conversations about where our food comes from, how plants grow, and what they need to flourish.

We’re looking forward to more adventures next week!
