Welcome back to 2025! This week we have got stuck right in to out new topic of ‘up up and away’ (flight) and animals in science. We have been working really hard with our place value in maths, understanding tens and ones. We are able to break bigger numbers up into tens and ones. We have also started gymnastics in our PE lessons this term and Judaism in RE. We have talked about keeping safe in PSHE, focusing on the importance of sleep for our growing bodies. In literacy, we have started our new text inspired by ‘The Gruffalo’, we concentrated so hard during our cold writes and loved drawing our story maps.
In our continuous provision this week we have been using our fine motor skills to use the elastic bands on the geoboards to create vehicles of flight. We have created our own creatures inspired by the Gruffalo and labelled some animals, including what they might eat.
