Today, we celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as our favourite book characters. We listened to two books, read by Northampton Saints player and Foundation ambassador, Ethan Waller, via a video link. We also had opportunities throughout the day to read our own books and take a quiz using the Accelerated Reader scheme. For the past few weeks, we have been competing in a reading challenge across school to see which class could read the most books and build a tower of books to the height of their chosen celebrity. Year 4 chose Steve Backshall, as he had visited our school previously, and we were delighted to discover that we were the winners – and can look forward to watching a movie with popcorn during one afternoon this term. Well done Year 4!
