The children have started their first Talk For Writing text ‘Little Charlie’, a journey story, and we will be focusing on the fundamentals in writing such as capital letters, finger spaces, punctuation, letter formation and presentation.
They have loved starting their Science topic of materials. As a class we have been exploring materials. We started with a material hunt around the school to find the most popular use of material was. We have also explored the properties of these items, looking at new key vocabulary such as: transparent, opaque and translucent.
