Welcome to Our Weekly Update
This week in maths, we moved on to exploring prepositions of place (next to, under, behind, etc.).
Continuing the theme of Black History Month, we talked about a famous artist named Alma Thomas. She was an African American artist known for her vibrant paintings created with large dabs of bold colours. We also listened to jazz music from Louis Armstrong, who is famous for his gravelly voice and exceptional trumpet playing.
We had a great time in Forest School, where we modelled clay and used natural resources to expand our creations.
As part of our health and well-being focus, we discussed oral hygiene, learning about our milk teeth and how often to brush them. We practised brushing on our large plastic teeth to reinforce the importance of dental care.
Additionally, we enjoyed icing biscuits as a treat this week! We helped mix the icing sugar, ensuring it was thick and smooth before decorating the biscuits with sprinkles and other toppings.
It has been another week full of fascinating learning, adventures, and activities.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
