What an exciting week it’s been!

In literacy, the children have been busy writing letters to Owl Mummy, asking her to come home.

In maths, the children tackled the part-part-whole model, with the challenge to make both parts equal! They’ve really grasped how numbers can be shared equally, linking this to even numbers. It’s been fantastic to see their confidence grow.

The children explored weather patterns around the world, discovering how the seasons differ in the UK compared to the North and South Poles. They also learned about the incredible animals that live there and used a world map to place where these animals call home. They’ve done a brilliant job expanding their knowledge of the world!

And to top it off, the children took part in a school-wide vote, answering the big question, “Should the prefects be in charge of the school for the day?” The yes vote had a landslide victory, promoting the children’s understanding of British values, with a focus on democracy. We can’t wait to see the prefects take charge and do an amazing job!

What an action-packed week of learning and fun
