Year 1: 17.01.25

January 17, 2025
Year 1 2024 25

This week has been our computing week in Year 1 which has been a lot of fun! We have been learning all about robots, including what algorithms are and how we can give instructions clearly. We have loved working with the BeeBots. Maths has also been very exciting this week as we have been consolidating our knowledge of tens and one, allowing us to use bigger numbers in our maths. We have also started our first battle of the bands on Times Table Rockstars where will compete against Miss Sartain with our ten times table knowledge. In literacy we have been focusing on our ‘to be’ and ‘to have’ verbs, such as am, are, is, were, was, have and had.

In our continuous provision this week we have been using our fine motor skills to use tweezers. We have been practicing our spellings on spelling shed using the laptops. We made our own aeroplane designs and have practiced one more and one less to aid our maths.
